I am a Manufacturing Jeweller and Silversmith and have worked in the jewellery trade for 33 years. I work in gold and silver, producing items such as Bangles, Bracelets, Earrings, Cuff Links, Wedding Rings, Brooches and Kilt Pins, all of which have a Celtic theme. Some of the pieces are enamelled and some are set with precious or semiprecious gem stones. Most of the pieces are painstakingly sawpierced and carved. This enhances the knotwork patterns as shown in picture opposite.
Soldering
This is another necessity that must be executed carefully and neatly to give that professional finish whether it be a small inexpensive item to the most expensive.
Influence
The Celtic theme in my work increased after moving my business, home and family from Birmingham to the West Coast of Scotland. A change in scenery and lifestyle was what we needed and we found it here in this beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands.
Wedding Bands
We have a very popular wedding band range which all show a style only cost. This costing is for the marking out and saw piercing of the knot work pattern only. The cost of the gold must be added as all ring sizes have a weight variation. This varies according to ring size, but will be between about £75 and £200.

Other
Other works include Renovation to Masonic Jewels and Chains of Office. Specialised works such as bottle openers and silver gilt roses are just a small example of the items I can produce.
